I was delighted that Rakushun will now reside in Kei with Youko; a nice and happy ending (if a bit of a denouement) to the series.

After ep. 40, I thought there was some tangible chemistry between Shoukei and Kantai. The physical, genetic and cultural contrast between them is very great--but that makes it kind of charming. BTW, Kantai's manform is pretty sexy, and his animal form is, how to say, over bear ing yet adorable.
