I just started watching Moribito: Guardian of the Spirit. I like it a lot so far. It's about a young prince who is condemned to death and his mother sends him away with a bodyguard to protect him, hoping to be reunited at some point in the future.

It reminds me a bit of the Taiki arc in 12 ...

I'm new to this forum and 12K fandom as well. I'm ashamed to admit it took a long time for an old friend to convince me to watch this series (she had to woo me with the music first!), but now that I've seen it, I am completely in love with the world and the characters. I haven't read the novels yet ...
