That's how you can bring the whole system to come crashing down. If you go around assassinating all the kirin within a short amount of time, you'll end up with 12 countries waiting for their kirin to return while only 1 can come back at a time. And there's still the aging period. Granted some kirin matures faster than others, but you can agree the average kirin matures later than sooner (say at 18 or so), with enki and taiki being the few exception. In that case, 18 years per kirin, for 12 kirins. That's a long time to be youma infested. The question is, is tentei really that cold-hearted to let the people suffer that long? Or will he just press the reset button and reboot his universe?

Reckless Angel, I'm not confusing Enki's. Just watch the chapter 11 at 7 min and 26 secs. The sage Shoshun tells him all the story about En and especifically mentions that after Kyo-ou was taken down, the "Next Enki was unable to find an emperor". This means that there was an Enki after Kyo-ou's Kirin and before Rokuta.
I don't know how many years this Enki lived, but now add Rokuta's age when he found Naotaka and it would be easily more than 30 years.
Now after Tentei's last post, I wonder if all the problems in JK are caused by a certain OS and the BSOD.

Methinks Tentei is already trying to fix it by introducing Kaikyaku Antivirus 2.0

Or is there a new kirin of Hou and we just haven't heard of him/her?
I'm a little confused about that too. At the end of the last story arc didn't we see a new egg growing on the kirin tree? That would make two missing kirins, the new one in the egg, and the one who's awall in Japan. Right?

Yeah, the one growing on the tree was the fruit of Kou.
Currently, Taiki is missing and the new fruit of Hou hasn't even been born yet and it should have.
