Hey,
Does anybody know if the [12K-TP] crew will continue to
sub JK after episode 39?
Thx.

The topic in IRC says episode 40 should be translated and released on the first of August. Given that there's half a month until then, perhaps we'll begin seeing a bunch more novel pages.

I know ep39 has already aired in Japan but why is there such a delay?
is JK over now?

So how long is JK supposed to be? In another thread, there was rumour of a sequel show called "world of JK"
If anyone knows for sure, please tell me. I need to know.

Most sources I've seen say 68 episodes.

I wonder what story Eps. 40 will be about. Could it be a continuation of Taiki? hmmm

From the screep-caps at the
official website, it looks to be more Youko.

Now that she has settled many domestic problems, maybe she will focus on foriegn affairs now. So far we have seen that one neighbor has lost its emporer, another has a missing Kirin(and perhaps emperor), and one closeby kingdom is nearing collapse. There are plenty of story opportunities.

I'm pretty sure this has been mentioned before, but the first main story arc of the "new" series is set in En 500-ish years ago - ie En-ou and Enki (Shouryuu and Rokuta) are the main characters.
Ep 40 (which I've seen untraslated) continues after ep 39, and it looks like from ep 41+ it'll be flashback time to when En-ou was a newbie emperor. Ep 40 makes a nice "bridge" chapter - can't wait to see it translated.
The intro and ending for ep 40 are the same as the previous episodes btw. You wouldn't think there's a 6 months gap between ep 39 and 40! Which is nice. In one or two scenes, one or two of the characters look a bit off, but not nearly so much as ep 38 for example.
It's been said here before that the next main story arc after the "En 500 years ago" arc is about Tai and Taiki etc.

Heh, interesting saying. Perhaps, "Plenty of wool left for spinning yarns?" I'm not sure that has quite the same meaning, though.

Ep40 is just a wrapping up story, Youko appears at the start and near the end, and has precious few lines of dialouge.

It seems a lot of you already saw the JK ep 40. To answer MOST of your questions:
JK 40+ will be subbed. ep 40 is being worked on at the moment. Ep 41+ will not air until July 26th, after which it'll be aired by a weekly schedule (doesn't mean it'll be released via fansub weekly though -__-;; )
JK 40 is a correspondent chapter. Meaning, it doesn't belong to any one arc. At the same time, it's not a filler or a recap. It has elements of the previous arc and a VERY brief preview of the next arc. You'll know what i mean when you see it. ^__^
41 - 48 (??) will be about the rule of En-Ou (the cool emperor who helped Youko save Taiki in the first arc). I believe the setting is 20 years after En-Ou assumed the throne.
If any of the above is incorrect, feel free to add your own note.
