^^ Hiyo.
I just got my hands on information about The Twelve Kingdoms and I am dying to know more. I had seen the artwork a couple months back and I asked around what it could be but no one knew. It wasn't until I noticed that a DVD of the series in a local anime shop that I knew the actual name of the series.
Anywho, I just wanted to say hello and stuffs. I'm really looking forward to getting into the series!

you can say 12JK isn't widely adopted as a popular anime mainly because its from novel and not childrens manga.
think of it as the Lord of the rings of anime.
Thats why when you asked around about it no one knows or even heard about it. What a pity because its one of the best titles out there. Period!.

Well, first off the art caught my eye. I simply loved the style. Then, I actually got to read into just how deep the story really is and that instantly caught my attention. I really do love epic stories. I'll most likely end up collecting the novels and the anime now because I'll get so sucked up into the story.
Ah, yes, I can see myself writing fanfiction and/or RPing in a few months from now. What a dork I am. Squee.

I prefer the work "geek", rather than "dork". . .

Well, a few years back it would have been geek, but times have changed. Now the word geek brings up the mental image of a kid addicted to math, science, and star trek.
But the word dork has more or less moved onto to those who have interests in comic books, cartoons, and anime. 'Sides, I think that between the two words dork really has gained popularity. I hardly hear the word 'geek' used anymore. Whenever it is used someone is usually talking about Urkel.
And, yes, my friends and I do talk about Family Matters. That showed 0wned.

Lies!
Full House had the spawn of Satan on it! Even mentioning those beast of Hades makes a shiver run up and down my spine.

Oh DAMN, so now I am a geek AND a dork?
(/me has been known to run around in Star-Trek-Uniforms, sometimes also in Klingon Outfit, playing Laser-Shootout and sparring with Bat'leths...)

Bwaha! Would you rather be a gork or deek? It's kinda like badong or gnodab. (<--That was a Kung Pow reference there.)
Are you like one of those Trekkies that shows up at Renn. Faires all decked out and act like you've gone to a strange new planet or somethin'? o,o I would think that'd be cool to do anyhow. And you'd just rock if you actually have done it.

What are Renn. Faires? Am a little tired right now, most likely I will understand tomorrow...
And: Of course I sometimes just run around in the city, waving my tricorder lookalike at ppl and utter phrases like "it's life, Jim, but not as we know it!" and "Interesting. The lizards of Beta Alpha Ten CAN transform into humanoid form..."
It's SOO rewarding if you can throw ppl off-balance with your hobbies!
I am not also a geek and a dork, but I also like Black Metal and Goth Music and wear black, if I am not clad in anime shirts or Star Trek Uniforms - it's much fun to shock the bible thumpers in my area!
Um...but enough about me...

Been there, done that, have a boxful of the T-shirts, went on to work security many times for the Los Angeles Grand Slam. Sad, isn't it? Ren Faires are good fixes between conventions but are hot and dusty. Recently kicked the habit. I think...
