hello everyone. I'm a new Juuni Kokki fanatic. I saw the news about halting production at episode 45. I have seen up to episode 20. What should I do? Should I continue to watch even though there's an indefinite time till the release of more episodes or should I stop now and wait? I thought if I stopped now it'd be less painful. Thanks for your help ^_^

Watch till 39 (or 40). 39 provides a really good closure, and 40 is a standalone episode that might be considered as a kind of closure in its own right (for one specific character...). Trust me, you won't regret it

I agree with Chaotic_reign. In fact, if you stop now, you'll miss some of the best parts of the series.
You should definitely continue watching JK 'till ep 39!

thanks. You know...there was an excellent closure ep. around ep. 14 or 15. But then, I'm sure I'd be missing out on some excellent stuff. I may aswell go to 39 or 40. I've become quite patient in waiting for upcoming episodes to be released, because of Tenshi na Konamaiki. Those can take nearly a month per episode.
*spoilers from here on*
One big reason I'd like to keep watching is because of the current mystery overlying the Kirin of that Northeastern country. In episodes 16-19 or so you get to watch him grow up in the care of that Nyoukai Sanshi. I found that increadibly touching and would really like to see how it is all resolved from ep. 20 on. That Taiki kid went back to Wa. I have no idea as to why or what's going on with the emporer of Tai. I hope it ends up alright. Maybe there's a good reason for it all but I still can't help but feel bad for Sanshi and all the crap she's had to put up with. Plus, every time I see Yoko's friend talk to Taiki I tense up a bit cause I know that Sanshi and that vicious youma are lurking about.

I'll have to disappoint you there..
The story completely moves away from Taiki in the following episodes.
From what I know, the chapter that would continue the story about the black Kirin comes after ep 45.

sorry

That is not resolved as of episode 41.

Animal,
Being anime fan since the 70's , I suffered the pains of not seeing a finished Anime. But this is worth watching to what ever end they give us. And while you are waiting for a finish you can try alot of other series like, Last EXILE and Inuyasha (this will run forever) or Battleship Yamato . These will hold you over for a while. Though Last Exile has a set number of eps. It is a wonderful series. If you seen all of these, then tryany thing and everything in Anime and you will find something that will make you feel good. And there are always the 12 Kingdom books.

omg.....what a magnificient anime....
yet, you all already know that. Why the hell didn't someone tell me sooner? ^_^
I think I can safely say that upon the depth, complexity, and quality of the story up to ep. 39 it rivals both Berserk and Evangelion. I'm ofcourse completely in love with the Yoko character. The character developement exceeded my standards even with so many characters.
*spoilers from here probably*
Plus, I love the music. As I told someone in a chat room, "I knew I'd like it from the first 15 seconds just from seeing the introduction and hearing that wonderful music. But I of course watched the first 3 episodes just in case ^_^." Wow....it's a lot to take in. I watched 1-39 in three sittings and the last 19 of that in the last of those sittings.
One thing that stuck out at the end was the death of Asano. I thought it was done exceptionally well. The realism of his hysteria brought such genuine qualities to the anime. In the end I was glad to see him find the right path and eventually find peace. I didn't like him in the beginning, but after seeing his condition I felt pretty bad for his plight.
I could easily ramble on for pages and pages, but just wanted to mention that part at the moment. I might actually rewatch this later on in order to understand it better. Plus, there's a lot I'd love to see again.....and again...sigh ^_^. As for episode 40, Choatic_reign mentioned I might want to watch it. Does it leave any sort of cliff-hangers?? I really don't wanna sit around for months worrying if Yoko will be ok or not ^~
ahhhh!!!

Hell.. every episode is a cliffhanger

Maybe except the recap eps.
*shirks away*.... thx for the info. I think ill try and wait till this ep. 45 business is resolved even if that means nothing new until Xmas, before i proceed beyond 39.
