Juuni Kokki NOT LICENSED by Del Rey (at this time)

Curious as I was about a possible official/unoffical announcement, I went ahead and sent a general email to Del Rey asking for more information about the possible licensing of Juuni Kokki.
I just received this in my email inbox:
Thank you for getting in touch with us. We have not licensed the Twelve Kingdoms novels or graphic novels. John Sirabella of Media Blasters misunderstood a conversation he and I had recently, which led to his mistaken announcement at Otakon. We are considering this series but have no made decision on it as yet. If that changes, we'll be sure to let everyone know!
Thanks for your interest and for taking the time to contact us.

Sniff sniff. I was really really looking forward to this!!
Well, take care all...

My, you can't trust anyone today. They get my hopes up and then it crashes on my head. I wish they would've confirmed it before making an announcement about it . sniff sniff . Maybe for this mistake, Media Blasters will sell the DVD's cheaper. I would forgive them then.
I can testify your claim...

This is Harunako from AnimePick 12K Translation. I have also sent an email to Del Rey after I heard the news, and their reply to me is the same as Bella's:

In the meantime, I would appreciate it if you were to pass this information onto the readers of your web site.
So that means 12ktp can continue their work on Tsuki no Kage, Kage no Umi as well! Good news for everybody^^
At the meantime, I will continue the translation of Toei and Tazogare no Kishi, Akatsuki no Sora (both on Kingdom of Tai). So please stop by often.

ooooo.... Well, thanks for clearing that up; so unfortunate. D'oh! Stupid media people... ^^;;
P.S.: I don't know if AnimeOnDVD.com has corrected this - if not, someone had better tell them quick!

Hi,
I'd like to know if the translation is in progress or this project has been dropped.
I tryed the link for more novel translation, but the link is not operative now (the host deleted it).
Bye,
Bry

Which project?
12ktp's site appears to have been abandoned. At any rate it hasn't been updated since early last April. But the four pages of
Tsuki no Kage, Kage no Umi that they had are still there and nothing seems to have been deleted.
Harunako's site at
http://www.otyaku.com/animeObserver/index.html is still active. He last updated
Tasogare no Kishi, Akatsuki no Sora just this past weekend.
