The date looks funny. Anyway, the site is up AND forum is up again! What more of an update could you ever want? Oh, and I guess Shinkun updated the site too, but you'd have to ask him

Ah-ha! So this board isn't dead after all.

I just found it and was all happy to find a 12k message board, then I saw the dates on the replies and they were all from months ago.

The author finishing the next book would probably get people excited. But I'm of the mind set that the novel should not be rushed and the quality of the story maintained.
Frankly, The Twelve Kingdoms is not, nor has it ever really had been a "happening" anime, and it tends to attract an audience that not often found in otaku-land.
The best you can do for now is to keep posting here. I do read, but I tend to not post. I did start the "Why I loved Juuni Kokuki" topic to get some people involved.
It might be possible to get a campaign to have this series shown on Tech TV's (or is it G4? I don't remember) anime block. That might help spread this series around in North America and get a bit more activity here.

the problems is the topics here are not categorized orderly....people keep on postingm all the topics they want when sumthin already exists...it's like instead of being friends in this forum, we are divided...i hope i can be a moderator so i can fix things up....we have few...

true, that. I don't think I've ever been to a forum which has been
more civil, with or without moderators. You guys all rock
