I was looking at my most recent issue of Newtype(April's) when I saw in Japanese new release section for DVDs the title: Juni Kokki-Higashi no Wadatsumi, Nishi no Sokai Vol 1. Appearently this came out over there 1/21.

Does this title have anything to do with the 12 Kingdoms?

I'm 99,9% sure it does. If you follow the link below you can see that although the title is slightly different, the release date is the same.

Now if you ever see a Vol. 3 come out that would imply that the series continuous beyond the 45 episodes.

Thanks for the information, I appreciate it. For a moment I thought it was the "World of 12 Kingdoms special" or some other arc all together. Ive only heard of a few tidbits of info on that particular add on, Anyone know what its about? Oh and Juuni Kokki is in Japan's top 20 all favorite animes too, its #15 on the charts. "Higashi no Wadatsumi, Nishi no Sokai" is the name of the ep41-45 arc.
