Just wondering what they are doing now in the year of 2005, but here what i thought

Youko: well still the empress with keiki, nothing much

Rakushun: graduated from university of Kei and become one of minister of Kei. he might become one of the 3 kingdom advisor (or might become the 4th)

Shoukei: well i read from the novel, she become something like palace management section but with her knowledge, she should become Daishikou.

Suzu: err i dont know she should become what. still become Empress's servant perhaps?

Kei-Kei: hmm he should have grown up and could assist koshou or kantai

Kantai: still become shasogun. Maybe he will marry Shoukei?

Sugimoto: hmm 2 options for her. one is still living in hourai, married and has many children. or coincidentally kouki/kourin chose her as kou-ou

Taiki & Gyouso: live happily and lead Tai to become prosperous kingdom

Enki & Syouryuu: they got nothing to do now. just let the En to grow more

Ryuu: colapse waiting for ryuuki to search for emperor.

Kou: lead by a good emperor and has make friend with Kei & Sou

Sai: Sai-ou might punish suibikun for her attitude by now.

Ren: Ren-ou still doing farmer thing in his palace with Renrin,

Han: wish i know more bout this country

Kyou: Kyou-ou still like to slap Kyouki coz he still bad in his thinking lol

Hou: new emperor has ascended the throne but all the people respect gekkei even more. His path become wrong because of this and make hou still in bad condition. Shoukei ask permission to go back to Hou and help poeple there to solve the problem.

Sekki: graduated and of course become minister under Youko.

Gyokuyou from shusei: Becomes a pretty entertainer, a well famous shusei. Meet Youko in Kei.

Last but not least, Fuyumi Ono: should be has returned from juuni kokki world to let us know what's going on in that world...=p

Rakushun: Might be an officer in Kou, since he need to be a citizen of that country to be an officer.

Sugimoto: cannot become Kou-ou since she is not a Taika (only Taika of that country can become the ruler)

Han-ou and Han-rin: still arguing with En-ou and Enki (the two emperors and kirins are big rivals of each other) and making trouble for the emperor or empress of the country they are visiting.

Rakushun: He would definitely be a minister of Kei by now.

Suzu: I would imagine her doing something that involves a "hands-on" approach... like spying.

Koyou: Maybe he'll suddenly appear and try to become a provincial lord in En.

You know, this thread (while old because I am trying to read all the older stuff and not get nagged for not reading and asking questions ) I really want to know, what did happen to them? In the novel, I meant. I think there should be another thread that covered this, but I just spent an hour going through some of the older thread...so, I'll risk it and ask it here.

What does everyone do as of the last novel?
Suzu? Kantai (well, he's still General, I presume). Will someone kindly guide me to that post, or answer it here (or start another post if the Tentei and the Moderators of the Forum allows)?

In the translation of of the book "The shore in Twilight, the Sky in Daybreak" Suzu is playing nurse to Risai. Perhaps she is studying medicine then?

My guesses:
Rakashun: emporer of Kou

Gyousou and Risai are married, and Taiki is very happy, and they are all working hard to restore Tai

Taiki can leave Tai on his own now, so he visits with Rokuta and Keiki occassionally.

Ryuu has lost its emporer (it was sure looking bad when Rakashun was going through it in the video). Either the kirin has found a new emporer or there is a new baby kirin in Mt. Hou for the Nyosen to play with.

Hou: They were saying in the video version of "The shore in Twilight" that there was no Kirin. Perhaps the Ranka was blown to Horai - in that case, they have either found it by now and there is a new emporer, or it is still missing. Gekai cannot become emporer because of his sins. But he is happy as provincial lord of Kei province.

Kantai and Shokei are an item.

Shouryu and Rokuta keep visiting Youko

Kei is becoming stable, and more self sufficient each year.

Rakushun: Becomes consort/ advisor to Youko? His role was mentioned in the last story arc of En-o.

Just guessing After all, Risai sure went to a lot of trouble to crash into Youko's palace and plead for help. Also, Gyousou went to a lot of trouble to get Risai a position as General of the Provincial army. Just coincidence? I think not... And let not forget their "date" to hunt suugu at Mt. Hou. And Taiki really likes her so to Gyousou that would be an invaluable character reference. Anyway - enough circumstantial evidence for a partially informed guess.

I could also use the same evidence and go the other way with this and say that Gyousou is never found and Risai becomes queen. Maybe if I feel like being a pest someday I'll start such a thread and we all can fight over it It would be pointless of course since basically none of us can read Japanese, so I'll be good
