Does anyone know where to get The Twelve Kingdoms avatars?

Complicated. I suggest taking a look into this gallery. Some images are very useful as avatars ^_^

If someone knows more places, please, I would also love to see them!

I've been searching for 12k avatars but couldn't find much. :(
This series has to get known to those talented artists out there to make more 12k avatars, signatures and layouts :P

A while back I had made a bunch of Twelve Kingdom icons for my Deadjournal. They are really just directly from screencaps I had taken from the DVDs a while back. Feel free to save them and use them for yourself:

http://www.deadjournal.com/users/zitch/ ... tml#cutid1

Please do not directly link to them. I don't really have all that much bandwidth... :)

And also, you may have to resize them to use them here (or save it to your own webspace and link to that). I made them 100x100 pixels to use on deadjournal.

Thanks. It's nice to be able to not have to resize them too much. When I do it, the pictures become all pixelly and hard to look at. Besides, I don't have any programs that will allow me to take pics from the dvds. >.<

I know, we all spend so much money for good quality anime. Then realize it's hard to rip onto the comp. I used a program to try and I just ended up killing my computer (had to reformat afterwards). >.< I am soooo ignorant with computers.

I used PowerDVD (I think version 3.0) to take the screencaps. I believe WinDVD also let you take screencaps too. Both are available to purchase and download online (something like $39-$60. I don't remember).

For image editing, I used The Gimp. Freeware and has 95% of the functions of Photoshop, but might be difficult to get used to or even install if you're not too proficient with computers.

Um.. Actually if you really can't find anything you can use "printScreen" which is the button in your keyboard to copy what's showing on your moniter. ^^ Just in case you dono, that printScreen button's on your keyboard. You press control PrintScreen, open up paint, and just paste it there. From there just cut out what you want. I hope this helps C=

It depends on what software you have for viewing DVD's. Many (I think most) of them disable the PrintScreen button over the section of the screen where the movie is playing. I have several programs that will allow me to watch a DVD, but none that will allow me to capture a screenshot of it. I think you need something like PowerDVD in order for the PrintScreen button to work. (Or it may also depend on the operating system. I've only tried on Windows XP Pro.)

It doesn't have to do with them disabling the print screen button, but has to do with how your computer is handling the video overlays. I use "Media Player Classic" (google it to get it; it's free), and I can take screenshots with it just fine. Just have to go to Options>Playback>Output and select one of the VMR options for the DirectShow video options (I use "VMR7 renderless").

Oh ya, I almost forgot, actually Windows Media Player can capture screenshots too. Just Press Control i and there will be a pop up to prompt you to save the captured image. I'm using ver.9 by the way so I'm not sure whether the old versions have this function. If not you can use printScreen C=

Funny how a few of my friends (whom are animation majors) does the same. They say "oh, its so easy" and promises to teach me, but always finds some way to get out of it. Meaning, they don't want to. :?
