Veeeerryyyy interesting... According to the Animated Divots site, 12kokuki's composer is Kunihkio Ryo while for HOMM4 the composer is (edit) Paul Romero, with Rob King supervising music overall. I don't see how (Kunihkio/Romero + King) are related, though, if at all. There was no word in the various blurbs/interviews that they used specific preexisting songs, only that it was Celtic themed. If rights were licensed, then it had to be through the gaming company, of course.

-Unless Romero used tracks from one of his independent works, where the studio wouldn't have to negotiate with the game company itself, only Romero/reps, I think. I just listened to the "Sea" theme - essentially identical with #8 Fuushun (kinda creepy). o_o
