I like anime and manga. I also am interested in different cultures. Lately, I have been reading alot of books on Japanese culture. Currently, I am reading "Order by Accident: The Origins and Consequences of Conformity in Contemporary Japan." I have read "Confucius Lives Next Door; Myths and Legends of Japan; and With Respect to the Japanese." I got DVD called Japanland. This woman named Karen Muller spend a year in Japan and made a documentary about it. Its actually quite good. Does anyone have any suggestions for good books or DVDS about Japan? :)

about two years ago I read a book about an american woman who went to Japan and studied their culture. She talked schools, housing, family life, etc. It was very interesting. I'll try to get the book name for you when I go to school on Monday.
