Fav music track from Juuni Kokki

I think there isn't a topic about JK's music is there? ^^"
Anyway, my favourite track's Fuushun. The one played in Taiki's arc. I'm not sure whether the main melody's played by a guitar? I like the plucking feel of the piece. Especially when it played while Sanshi went to get Taiki, I was like =*)
Another one of my favourite's Juunikokugenei, played when Keiki bowed down to Youko in episode 1. The later part of the piece's brought the fight between Youko and the Kochos to a climax, the violin rocks xD
Of course not forgetting the ending song, Getsumei Fuuei and Shoukei's theme song Shihouka, Houko Kuwashima did a great job singing
[I'm a big fan of her Shinkai no kodoku from gundam seed destiny xD]
At first I didn't try to appreciate the music cos Juuni Kokki style's much much different compared to most animes, there's a chinese tinge to it that I need to adapt to. But gradually as I watched, though some of the tracks may be a bit dull on their own but I think it fits very well in the anime, while some tracks are just awesome by themselves. Now having watched the series at least twice, I <3 the music =D What do you guys think?

I think this is a very good thread idea, the only problem is, I can't remember any of the track names. -_- Once I refresh my memory I'll post my favs.
Off the top of my head, I can however say that I really like Ruika which came in during Taiki's arc and was also played around the time that Seishu was killed. (Oh god I hope I didn't get his name wrong, must go check)
I also love "Ikyuharuka" which played during the 2nd last arc.

The names are indeed hard to remember considering the many letters in the translated romanji and hard to find close to none titles translated in english?
That's why I can only come up with 2 names

My two favorites are the song that plays when Sanchi is pulling Taiki through the magic rope to Mt. Hou, and the music that plays when Taiki is subduing his shirei (which is also played when Kantai turns into a bear during the battle against Shoko in "A Great Distance in the Wind...").
I bought the CD that has those two songs and it is even better when you hear the entire song.

I really love the music for this anime. The opening song is also played in the trailer for the show, and I think that music was the biggest draw to it in the first place, before I'd seen the show to find out what a good plot it has. So I would probably never have found out what a good show this is if it hadn't had such good music.
Juuni Kokki is just one of several anime that I bought primarily because of the music in their trailers. Sometimes that works and sometimes it doesn't. Shows I've bought that way range from this one, which has both great music throughout and a wonderful plotline and characters; to Jin-Roh, which actually has virtually no musical score during the movie (just opening and closing songs), but has a good plot that I enjoy in spite of it not being what I bought the movie for; to Blood Reign, in which that one song that's played during its trailer is the only worthwhile thing in the whole show. There's probably others that the trailer music influenced how well I liked the trailer, and thus whether I would buy the anime, but on those three I was particularly aware of the music being the entire draw toward them.
Oh, I can't really answer which is my favorite track because I don't know the track names other than the opening, Juunigenmukyoku, and the closing, Getsumei-Fuei, but those two are defininitly both among the top few.

I got my sisters the CD's and even though she doesn't like the anime (she is more into horror) she absolutely loves the soundtrack. She's made me promise to send her more of that kind of music when I find it in other anime sountracks as well

There's a couple singles CDs otherwise. )

Woah that's gona be alot of work ^^;
Anyway I found this- someone in animesuki forum attempted translating the titles sometime back.
http://forums.animesuki.com/archive/ind ... 20889.html
I find it strange that I can't find English translated names of these song titles anywhere. I believe most other anime tracklists have them translated in English.. do they? Its a pity that Juuni Kokki have such a great ost but not known to the non-japanese because of the long romanji names.

Yeah, I would like to know the song title too. I love JK's music, almost everythings. The music really go well with the anime. I was crazy with the music, and listen to it every day. It is hard to say which is better than which. My favorite sound track are Fuushun, Ruika, kuni, Aijiyou kyoku. Getsumei Fuuei, I refer the slower verson.
PErhaps ...

There's a few sellers on ebay who have it, don't know if any of them of legit though....might be bootlegs. Don't know of any torrents either, but Gendou.com has the opening and ending themes for free download to tide you over until you can buy it. ^^

Go to this site Link removed
They have JK music, 4 album. But if you can buy JK music, buy it, the quality is better after all.
Remember, there's only one rule on this forum (listed at the top), and I have to remove the link because of it. Thanks.

i downloaded all the 12k music - i love all the music!!! (except i deleted a few youma ones) But if I have to choose favourites, it'd be :
1. Junigenmukyoku (full version) -theme song at opening- oriental!
2. Shihouka - the song Shoukei sang (i dont like the lyrics - too dolly - but the music is so beautiful - reminds me of one piece from classical chinese music)
3. Getsumeifuuei (slow version) - the song at the end of episodes - i prefer the slower version to the actual one they put in the end.
4. Kuni ~ Touhou reiin (Traditional Version) - sounds like another chinese flower song, makes me think of a small chinese town.
5.Touhou raisan - very oriental small town style.
most this music is composed by japanese-korean guy ryo kunihiko. I got his other non 12 k music on my computer as well. his musics gr8!

There is an English translation of Shihouka in the English dub, but it's only of the first verse. I've tried emailing Media Blasters (the company that's licensed Twelve Kingdoms for the U.S. market) for a re-worked English translation of the full song, but they never got back to me about it.
