So once more books come out do you think the anime will be continued? I am on ep. 38...and I hear it ends abruptly like most anime. But more books may = more eps. right?

I think that it comes to a nice ending, but not complete. I don't think that the anime series will continue, but we can always hope, right? from what I've read, the producers didn't want to continue not only because of lack of material, but that the story focuses away from Youko, and they were afraid that they would lose viewers because of that.

The conclousion of one part of Yoko Nakajima's story where she has finally claim back the control of the court from Seikyo.

But as they say, the story continues but unlike LOTR, the stories can still continue with the remaining stories from books already publish. Even then, the stories can still continue by further books from the author but until now the author has no plans to continue the JK series books.

I would love to see whether Tai-O can claim back the Kingdom of Tai and Taiki can really be a great Kirin as he was meant to be.

If possible please read the novel version, it can answer a lot of the question left unanswered by the anime version.

Good luck

Do you guys know of a place I can read it in English?? I agree, the ending is an actual end its just that that one story is left hanging a lot! Also, do you know how Kouya becomes that God like character we hear about? I'm assuming that character is the same one we see in the story about the Black Kirin right?

I really hope they do!!! OMG! I e-mailed Cartoon Network because they often put anime on the channel. Perhaps if it becomes really popular on main US channels it'll be more likely there will be more made? All of us should bother Cartoon Network!!

I loved the Taiki arc, I'm just relying what I read on another site, which could just be speculative. I really do hope they continue the series though!

I don't understand all these musings about - they ended the anime because Youko isn't there anymore. First of all - she's there. She's one of the primary characters in the last novel! Yes, there're a lot of them there, but she's definitely IN. Besides, the anime successfully inserted Youko into the novels she actually never was in (Like, she's there to listen to Taiki' story and Shouryo's) and, personally, i absolutely didn't mind and i doubt that anyone payed attention to that. Wonderfull decision which helps to build the central core to the world of the 12 kingdoms without distorting the novels at all.
And Youko is IN 3! 3 out of 7 novels. As a primary (or one of the primary) characters. So, it stands to a reason she was picked up by anime as a central spine to bring everything together.
The problem is that the Tai story still isn't resolved, so how can anyone continue with this adaptation when noone on this forum can't even guess how it'd end? I surely can't tell.

Middle part of the Taiki Story

Please refer to the link above for the English version of the story.

For most of us, the story of Taiki ended when he was found and later return to Tai to search for his King. How the story is still a mystery because the author HAVEN'T wrote it yet.

Hopefully the time the English version reaches the states, the author have complete another book on Juuni Kokki especially the Taiki story. But i guess Yoko will not have much part in it due to obvious reason or maybe like her, Tai-O will ask assistance from En and Kei. Who knows.

Best of luck.
