What's your favorite dialogue sequence from the anime?

another of my favorite ones is :

"I don't need a scabbard to sheathe my mind"

oh and

"the strong mind that withstands insult and disaster and is not afraid to correct wrongs, will not subject itself to corruption."

There are so many of them that I like! From almost every dialogue you can extract a valuable lesson, at least that's the way I see things.

One which I love would be:

“Green mountains and fields. A rich kingdom where no one has to starve. No one freezes nor gets wet in the evening dew. A time of peace. No worries about starving or being in war. I want a peaceful land. I’ve always wanted that. When parents don’t have to abandon their children to survive. A rich kingdom.” - Rokuta

And since I have a soft spot for Kouya, check my signature also, another favorite.

But overall, as I said, there are many that I like. Don't be surprised if I post again in this thread.

It's alright if I'm betrayed. The person who betrays is a coward! I won't die! I won't become a coward! Don't trust anyone because they lie? If the person isn't nice, then I can't be nice to that person? THAT'S NOT RIGHT!

This is definitely one of my favorites too, I loved that line.

I liked a lot of quotes from when Suzu and Seishu were together, they had a lot of interesting conversations.

"People always get angry when you tell them the truth." - Seishu

I love this one, too. Easier said than done, but it's one of those very meaningful thought-provoking ideas.

Of course when Rakkushun says to Youko "I would like to see what kind of kingdom you will create"

Also when Rakkshun says to Shokei (something like) "You don't know anything about the kingdom for which you were a princess. I should think that a lot more embarassing than wearing poor clothes."

After Enki is kidnapped in the last arc, when the advisors are arguing and Shoryuu walks away. "Where are you going?" Itan asks. "I'm going to bed since I'm such a useless emperor."

Not in the anime, but I really liked the (internal) dialogue at the end of Demon Child when Hirose is asking Takasato why he can't go too, why he has to stay behind, why hes not chosen.

And finally from me (for now), when Youko says to Rakkshun "What distance? There are only two steps between you and I."

BTW - does anyone know of a fanfic or AMV of Twelve Kingdoms that uses the "damp women lying on their backs in ponds haning out swords" quote?
