We had The Twelve Kingdoms, then we had Ghost Hunt.
Now it looks like another horror manga co-written by Fuyumi Ono will be adapted to an anime:

I actually liked Ghost Hunt. It's not nearly as epic as The Twelve Kingdoms was, but I thought GH had some great characters and some seriously great "horror" moments. Can't wait to see Shiki.The official website for the anime adaptation of Fuyumi Ono and Ryu Fujisaki's Shiki horror mystery manga has opened — thus revealing that the anime has been green-lit. The story revolves around an isolated mountain village, steeped in ancient traditions, whose population of 1,300 starts dying in droves due to mysterious causes. Eventually, it becomes clear that vampires are attacking the town.
