There is no end how bad that prefecture guy was I see, I was half expecting him to eat small children..well he did drive on over, but still...
Anyhow I'm kinda understanding his logic, I would be a bit pissed being ruled by the heavens who choose sucky rulers who cause no end misery and grief
And now the roles are reversed with the two ladies ...altough I'm wondering if a gun will kill an immortal ..

If I'm not wrong Asano has used 3 of the 6 shots..now if my calculations are correct, that makes it about 1 shot every 2 episodes.. so it must come within 6 episodes or he will have run out of bullets!!
Unless there are other guns floatin around...
Btw the gal is loony too now I think..and she was soooo close to become normal..dangit..

I'm surprised those bullets work after whatever torture that (ancient) gun went through in getting there.

I'd wager that she's as loony as Asano at this point. He's seeming downright rational, if a bit confused.
The real question is, can they straighten out Kei politics in seven episodes?
I eagerly await the meeting of Youko and Sonshou in the next episode, and I'm going to laugh if Suzu manages to still be cooling her heels in jail when they all get back to the palace.

well... atleast now it's been explained in understandable translated japanese that pretty much many of the ministers are corrupt. :\
I was thinking at the beginning, when she and we were first introduced to all of the ministers that... well...
"she should just get rid of all of them right now and save herself some trouble".
buuut.. I was always the kind of person who liked to start from scratch, so it's no wonder =^.^=

Asano made his own bullets for that gun. He made it out of the money he counted for the travelling entertainers.

"Rest assured, I saved the most expensive bullet for you." Reminds me of a recent Ghost in the Shell episode.
I'd forgotten to mention it earlier, but I really liked this episode because people were actually honest. In particular, Youko and Keiki having their brief heart-to-heart. I was glad that she actually told him what she was feeling -- "If nobody else, I need you to believe in me." That's something he really needed to learn. Now if only he'd picked up on it earlier.

I can now see the next plotline...
Asano makes a thermonuclear multistage rocket and then applies it to the empress...
with the subtitle...
Time of Radiation, the winds of nuclear fallout.
Question of course here is,m will a nuclear assault really kill an immortal..
Any views?

<.< >.>
Lucky for you.... Asano no have PhD in nuclear physics... Asano just poor highschool kiddo that have gone nuts after being plonked in this damn world...
Whether an immortal would be killed depends on:
1) size of the thermonuclear device
2) where the immortal is relative to the epicentre of the blast
Radiation means nothing to an immortal, as their immortality heals most almost life-threatening conditions, short of being beheaded... <.< >.>
for more detail, refer to Knowledge Base Article 3842783: Tentei should know better about immortality...
Asano
- Still trying to find fissile material in this damn place - why doesn't any kiloton devices wash ashore... -

Well if that infernal gate to the earth had been closer to Russia he might have found a couple of washed up devices, atleast he could probably have manufactured a dirty bomb..
But would the inhabitants of 12k consider this threat as viable, I mean, technological development in 12k has been pretty non-existant, infact I think it was mentioned that it was the people from hourai or something that were the ones that had contributed with the new things they had in that society, like schools'n'stuff.
Seemingly though, no professors or nuclear scientists has yet washed ashore then, not even a humble mechanic, altough with magical beasts that fly who needs airplanes I guess.
Also I think it's unfair towards europeans not to have a gate like that..now who to protests too..hmm

Actually, the Chinese get there too. Funny as it may sound, the gates to JK seem to be limited geographically.
Pretty good episode as we learn more about the enemy and his plans. Anybody starting to wonder who Koukan is and where he may be? It's also good to see the three divas starting to meet up finally.

divas lol!
Ahhhhh the ever elusive Koukan ^_^
Sorry, but you will have to wait till the final episode (39) to see his mystery unraveled.

The final episode? Darn. I've seen pictures of it in the official site but I couldn't understand (or trying not to get too spoiled) much even with babelfish. It looks like a very promising ending.
Ya know, from the past episodes, I'm starting to think he's not as elusive as he's supposed to be.

I hope I'm wrong so I can be still be surprised at the end.

Just the final episode of this season, thankfully. Unfortunately, I've seen one spoiler picture from the last episode, or close to it. Now I wish I hadn't. Grrrrr.
Only limited gates from the outside? What kind of Xanth is is?
Anybody starting to wonder who Koukan is and where he may be?
Zuh, why didn't I think of that before... it all makes sense now. ^^*

meh, i couldn't help myself so i went ahead and used my powers as a lesser god to see the future. Like shinkun said, Koukan is more elusive than the elusive trout.
ep 39, being the conclusion ep, does reveal it all. HOWEVER!!!
*spoilers warning, highlight to read*
In ep 39, koukan reveals himself. BUT he appears in the story well before then. you just don't know who it is.
