Wolf's Rain is setting the record for bad recap episodes....

Episodes 15-18 are all recaps featuring no new content at all!

At least in Juuni Kokki's recap episodes, it's only a single recap following each major plot arc and they're really more of reflection episodes, actually. . . We have absolutely nothing to complain about!

Indeed I was very dissapointed with the last eps I saw..I guess I'll just have to go for ep 19. This is not worth it :/

Ater I watched ep 15 and deemed the rest as useless since there was practically nothing worthwhile in watching it. I'm waiting for ep 19 for some actual content.

I wouldn't mind 'em if they actually were worthwhile (showing how Tsume has changed, or showing how Toboe has grown up some, etc)...
As it is, though....
/me goes over and bangs head against wall...
They must've run outta story before they hit 26 episodes, and needed to add some padding to the Cheza arc.

Never fear, Wolfie 19 breaks free to continue the story

I too was in despair over the awful sensation of "Deja Review" Pretty cheesy stuff, I'd hate to have discovered I bought a DVD release later on and find 3 full episodes of rehash/retread images. Waste of my precious downloading time/bandwidth...Grrr.
Whew...Hope they got it out of their system and can come up a good ending, too many anime seem to get rushed and have poor to terrible endings (Are there only 26 planned episodes?).

Well, #19's been posted and it's NOT a recap episode.

yeh.. well besides the recap thing i think wolfs rain is pretty good
since its original and not based on any manga.. i wonder if they were still writing the storyboard and needed more time.. thats why they did the recap eps??

Aparently somethink that's key to the opening of Paradise. *shrugs* There's still four more episodes to explain this, fortunately.

How exactly do you mean this?
Are you referring to the episodes before 26, or are you suggesting there might be more than 26 Episodes?
Just wanted to know, haven't seen the end yet, as I am still downloading it *wait*

It's going up to 30, actually.

At the end of WoofNick's ep26 sub there's a little bit that basically says episodes 27 to 30 are coming up.
26 did have all the attributes of a finale, though. I'm wondering if 27 to 30 are actually going to be an OAV series and not just more TV episodes.

o,O I'm almost to episode 15...
I guess I should just skip 15-18, eh?
At least I'll know which DVD of the series I won't pick up when Bandai finally releases it here. It'll save me about 30 bucks.
Oh, and is it only me or does Yoko Kanno keep outdoing herself everytime she composes new music for any series. I thought all of the music for Arjuna was amazingly beautiful, but the music for Wolf's Rain has such a sad and mellow feel to it that fits in so well with the mood of the series. @__@ She's...a frikkin' genius.

Yeah, though even her older work still manages to stand near the top. "Voices" from Macross Plus, for example, remains one of my favourite (along with most of the Cowboy Bebop soundtrack

).

I happen to think Wolf's Rain is one of the most overrated anime I've seen. It's got an amazing soundtrack, but the actual anime was just ok for me, nothing special.
