I like this so much.

It's alright if I'm betrayed. The person who betrays is a coward! I won't die! I won't become a coward! Don't trust anyone because they lie? If the person isn't nice, then I can't be nice to that person? THAT'S NOT RIGHT!
If I trust someone and then he betrayed me ...

They're cute, but I only customize them. I'm more of a fan of dolls.
Ah, okay. =) What dolls do you like? I'm a fan of Pullips.

Glad to see that the forum is back up. Anyway, I haven't changed my name, I'm yuene, from Singapore. I'm currently doing time as a postgrad in the National University of Singapore. Been a die-hard fan of the series ever since I watched it about 2-3 years back (at least I think it was 2-3 years back ...

I think he smiled partially because he was glad that finally he didn't have to, and didn't, play by their rules, grovelling and being bullied, even though that cost him his life. In a sense, he regained his self-respect and maybe that's why he died with a smile on his face.

I think youko's hair at first is black. Then its become red gradually in hourai...The anime never show this part though. I remember i read it from the novel

In the novels, her hair was red to start off with; auburn, to be precise. Youko was asked by her mum and her teacher to dye her hair black ...

The Arts Central subs in the first arc were atrocious, honestly, though they're pretty decent in the Taiki arc. I haven't watched the vcds yet. Anyway, I'm holding out for the US boxset release, the subs there ought to be somewhat better. Lousy subs really eat at me :D

fragile_bloom and nightchaser:

My apologies for not getting down to the translation earlier, I have been rather busy with my thesis, so I haven't had time to sit down and actually get down to it; plus, I'm also busying myself with a translation of Tonan no Tsubasa (going very slowly, trying to ...

Those in Singapore and Malaysia, heads up!

For those who can receive it:

Twelve Kingdoms is back on Arts Central, Wednesdays to Fridays, 11.30pm (after my other beloved show, Hellsing) :!: :!: :!: :!: :!: :!: :!: :!: :!: Back by popular demand--the first few episodes have already been shown. Go and catch it!

Looks like the next few months ...

Actually, the only reason that I can read Chinese is that I learnt it for 12 years in school. I guess it's kind of fortunate that my writing and reading ability is a lot better than my spoken ability

From what I understood, I thought that the youma that came to her rescue was Keiki's shirei ...

fragile_bloom!

Translated! I've added a bit and subtracted some parts to make the whole thing flow a little more. I'm not sure who was under attack at that point, whether it was Risai, Youko and Taiki or just Youko since I don't have the first portion, so I assumed it was just her for now.

Yes, the portion marked ...

I think one of the main strengths of Juuni Kokki is the flawed characters of the characters--even at the end, you can see a lot of potential for further growth in Youko and the other characters. It sort of keeps it real for people, and that appeals to us by giving points of commonality with the ...

I think she didn't want to send him back because firstly, she'd have to get Keiki to invoke a shoku, which would be disastrous for Kei (flooded fields do not a good harvest make). Secondly, he did die fighting for Youko. And of course, can you imagine the commotion back in Horai if they suddenly ...

a spoiler (if you haven't watched the whole series)

Am I the only one who likes Asano? I know he was an anime-exclusive character... but I always found it entertaining to see him interact with this world he was lost in.

Actually, no. I sort of liked Asano as well, though he spent most of his time acting like a dolt; I guess it's sort of ...

.

My all-time favourite is Youko. She really developed well during the show and anyway, she's HOT. I like the fact that she's so human, yet she tries to rise above her old self. RESPECT.

Suzu and Shoukei are also great characters, pity the show ended, I'd like to see them developed even more ...
