By "Youma Kingdom" you might be thinking of the Yellow Sea. Youma live there moreso than in any kingdom (I think).

Well, I've seen up to episode 13, and it's pretty good. Not a masterpiece like Juuni Kokki, but definitely good. I agree that the first three episodes aren't great at introducing the characters, but it gets better, and weirder. I actually felt the same way about Juuni Kokki at first. I hated Youko ...
