Re: Youko in Dresses

Are you a bot? I'll let it slide because it's a fun comment anyway. She only wore pink when she was a child though. :P

I'd like to see her in casual clothes in her original form just for curiosity.

Re: The Story of the 12 Kingdoms

My best attempt at summing it up, and I'm not sure if everything is 100% correct a) Initially, there were 9 provinces and 4 kingdoms. b) But their rulers were unfair and neglected the will of the skies, so Tentei destroyed the world, and was to build it anew. c) Tentei chose 5 lesser Gods, and 12 hu...

Re: short story goodies!

I finally managed to find some time to read Hyokaku...and it was excellent, however a bit confusing. I much enjoyed Ono's descriptions and background given to En, as well as Shoryu's travels(including talking about Atsuyu and him giving good officials), but I could not understand what Itan and Shuko...

Re: Doujinshis?

Wow, there's more doujins than I expected. Pretty cool, shame the price is a bit salty.

I am happy someone else likes him; doing bad things doesn't invalidade you as a character. :)

Re: Doujinshis?

Yeah, I like Youko's relationships: she empathizes with pretty much everyone in her kingdom or outside it. =) I enjoyed her interactions with Suzu, Shoukei, Koshou, Kantai and Enho just to list some more. And thinking about it, I think I would've liked that doujin even more if I saw it when I was un...

Re: Doujinshis?

I hadn't thought about it, but sure why not. They get along well too. :) And I think I would have enjoyed that one even if I was under 18, haha. Some truthful loving is never lewd: always good!, especially when well drawn such as that one. I guess this doujin is more recent because I searched for a ...

Re: Doujinshis?

I guess they make good combinations too! I like Atsuyu/Kouya as well, and some other good straight pairings that have good chemistry, such as Kantai/Shoukei and Suzu/Koshou. Youko/Asano is cute as well. Thank you for sharing the two little doujins: sadly I am far from knowing Japanese so I miss out ...

Re: Doujinshis?

While I prefer Youko and Keiki, it's more to my appreciating Keiki's character than anything: I like Youko and Rakushun quite a bit ...Junni Kokki has many great character interactions, both romantic and not.

Re: short story goodies!

I read Hisho no Tori...great story! It gave a lot of background on Gyouten and what lies below Kinpa kyuu, and I learned more about the officials and their varying levels and roles! The metaphors Hisho used for birds(especially magpies), escapism and wanting to give a message to the queen were reall...

Re: short story goodies!

Much thanks for the find: I'm not up to date with 12K things; I knew about the drama CDs but had no idea one of them was translated! Hopefully somebody will also take care of the others. As for "Chi ni Kemono": great CD! This is a very good complement to "Jougetsu", one of my fav...

Re: short story goodies!

I read Rakusho no Goku...and it's very great! It's a much darker story than the other works, and Ono's view of the criminal law/criminal politics system in Juuni Kokki is really good. Worth a read if you haven't! She definitely can write stories really well without any taika and kaikyaku...it's a sh...

Re: twelve kingdoms: Story unfinished?

I don't think we'll get good news about that...but I believe the excellent experience both the anime and novels deliver remains the same.

Episode 22: shooting arrows is necessary and I believe it's a class at the university Rakushun attends in En.

Re: fanfiction recommendations

Thank you for the rec: this one is a very good concept and was executed well: I like how the author thought about the cultural identity of Tai and the harsh environment he grew in is very interesting(though I don't think they measure temperature in Celsius degrees!); -I also like him preferring a br...

Re: 12K dream-cast

My favorite Shoryuu is the royal one because I consider it as his true self...I also really liked him as Komatsu Naotaka in armor like when he was fighting the Murakamis. I prefer Gyosou in armor because I feel like it's how he built his virtues.
