Hiho 12K-Fans!

Discuss about anything related to the Twelve Kingdoms, also known as 十二国記, Juuni Kokki or Jūni Kokuki. Talk about the novels, the anime, the writer Fuyumi Ono or illustrator Akihiro Yamada, but beware for spoilers!

Hi! I'm new here as well... and very happy to find a pretty good board for all 12K related things!

I love the anime, I love the music and I would love the novels if I could understand more than 20% of what's written. But there is hope *grabs kanji workbook again* :P

For the novels: Are there any translations to Enlish/German that you know of? I've just read that the anime is based on a novel on this forum and well, as i don't have much to read at the moment i thought, i could look for those....

there are limited numbers of japanese-english translation of the novel. as far as i know, there aren't any english-german translation of the novels. Even if there were, it'd be a fantranslated work of an already fan-translated work. You're definitely not getting accurate translation then. ^_^

Well, i've done a bit of searching and found this interesting site where the chapters one and two of the novel seem to be translated:

Dun dun dun! Hey, the site actually loads for me now. Time to read up...
Edit: That translation could do with a bit of editing. -_-**

Hello!

Another Newbie washed to the shores of the 12 Kingdoms... :)
I am a German living in the US, loving japanese Anime. Weird? Yeah, but
it's fun!!!

I love Juuni Kokki - got hooked from the first episode on. Great music, nice animation, complex storyline - what more could a fantasy-buff want? :D

I like a lot of other different SciFi and Fantasy-Series as well, and my husband watches the shoujo-stuff like IMMSE and Love Hina *g*

Happy to be here - keep up the great work you've done so far! Can't wait for the next episode already, and haven't even watched no. 36...
