Huh? I'm not entirely sure what your comment is supposed to mean, but the only omitting of swastikas that is done is usually outside of Japan, and it generally doesn't have anything to do with baby Jesus. o_OSemmemon wrote:It's good to know that they didn't *omit* the Chinese swastika in the anime because of baby jesus.![]()
Not true, reflecting the Svastika changes it's meaning and symbolism. Swastika (Manji in Japanese, Crux Gammata in Latin), which rotates in a clockwise direction, indicating harmony with Nature, gets its name from the Sanskrit word for "welfare". It is generally a symbol of night, magic, and good luck, and is found many places in Asia, especially old temples and palaces, as it is a popular Buddhist symbol.Reckless Angel wrote:(presumably since turning it upside down doesn't do much... except make it mirrored, which most people wouldn't notice anyway)

Not the Buddhist swastika, not to the Buddhists.Reckless Angel wrote:... from what I can tell.. the nazi's tilted the swatstika 45degrees...

anyway...
the swastika itself is still pretty much defiled.. since most beings who live on this puny planet gets reminded of the nazi's everytime they see it.
that is all,
