Discuss about anything related to the Twelve Kingdoms, also known as 十二国記, Juuni Kokki or Jūni Kokuki. Talk about the novels, the anime, the writer Fuyumi Ono or illustrator Akihiro Yamada, but beware for spoilers!
.. since I'm lazy, I don't want to read all of the posts..
How many episodes is this anime? And how fast is the 12k-TP translating them? I'm dying to see more......
And yeah, if the translators read this, keep it up! You picked a kick ass anime to translate, and we who love it and can't afford to wait for all of the DVD's to come out are depending on you!
I will never bend over to evil! ...unless she's cute
The official website has 40 episodes listed, so I guess it's safe to assume that's the number that have aired, so far. I've heard that the grand total will be 68.
Don't worry bout it, with about 12 volumes related to 12k i even think that 68 episodes is far too few to cover the entire story
This news makes my week. Thanks. I was hoping there was a great deal of written material left. Now, please tell me that the 39 episodes of sheer goodness that I just finished are only half of the first novel.

Hurmm...very dificult to answer coz first, i didnt have the luck to read the novels, and second, the anime don't really follow the storyline.
However as much as i heard about Ep.40+ (i won't reveal anything ), the adventures of nakajima 's finished and they'll focus on...other characters
Aready half of all of the novels...
Is it possible that we'll know all about 12K stories after the 68 episodes, even without reading novels? (sorry my english sucks :p)
No don't make me sad! SHITSUDOU!
But my faith in Ono-sama isn't shaked yet coz i have just learne that arc about kyoko/keiki was written in 2001 so if we are lucky, new chapters may come later (hope)
Hey, I love in Alaska and I just bought the newest Animerica Mag. August 03' (the Ninja and Samurai Special) and it says... this is straight out of the mag, page 43 " approximately the first thirteen episodes only cover the fate of three out of twelve provinces. viewers needn't worry about rushing things when it comes to telling the stories of the other nine kingdoms - at a total of 96 episodes, the Twelve Kingdoms is right up there with long running series such as Rurouni Kenshin."
See that!!! 96 EPISODES!!! ...lets just hope that it wasnt a typo in the mag...
EXACTLY, "For Now" they are going to make another season of it. You really should jump straight on to what YOU heard. The info is straight from my friend that lives in Japan, I just talked to him this weekend.
