Also, is it just me, or does he seem to have aged between this and the time of the Taiki arc? In other words, would he lose his immortality (due to Atsuyu's fall) and then somehow redeem himself significantly enough that he would become such a revered tensen?given his actions in ep 41, one wonders how kouya got to be a tensen
And episode 41 has arrived! (warning spoilers)

That's a pretty huge leap, going from someone who's an antagonist to someone who's almost-godly. I really wish those novels would get translated so I could find out what happened there
To me, this is the equivelent of like...Darth Vader coming back later in the Star Wars series and selling flowers for a living or something.
Doesn't anyone know? *puppydog eyes*

Hmmm, I thought he looked taller and slightly older in the Taiki arc, but now that I watch the scenes again ... perhaps not.Shinkun wrote:He has not aged. He is just more mature because of his 500-year life. And sadly, we do not find out how he becomes a heavenly sage. He only says he is going to the yellow sea and that is the last we hear from him.
And does this mean your computer is fixed?
Heh ... perhaps it's one of those stories still waiting to be written ... really ... there's nearly an endless supply of tales to be told in the world of the Twelve Kingdoms.Lauren wrote: I really wish those novels would get translated so I could find out what happened there
**************** POTENTIAL SPOILER EP 42 *************
Regarding Kouya, I have also got the impression he was a little bit older in Taiki arc, but as said by Shinkun, it was just an impression.
My guess is:
There was something right in the rebelion from Atsuyu. I think Enki has granted Kouya a second chance, may be a task to protect people in the Yellow See. Who knows??? It is just a guess.
If I am not wrong, En-ou was having trouble being accepted by eight of the nice province lords, even after 20 years, because none of them have been named by him. Only one of the Provincial lords was truly connected to him and able to assist him during the rebelion.
It seen that Atsuyu was not just trying to get the water banks, but was after something else.

Now, it is just me or have someone else noted that the same messenger that went talk to En-ou about Atsuyu plans, has turned 500 years later into En-ou Council Leader?
I don´t remember his name by now, but he was very coraugeous. This has also lead me to think Kouya received some blessing from Enki, may be by order of En-ou hinself.
Anyhow, it is just a guess. Please no flames!
