Taisho is the common name for the Saiho if the country. Otherwise know as the Kirin. The people call the Saisho, Taisho out of respect (the little I know of Japanese culture, seems to dictate that almost everybody with at typical high position in society have a common nick name. I could be very wrong but it is what I have picked up through anime)

The names of the different Taihos are very easy, as the first part name the country they represent and the last mention which gender they are.

Follow this if you are in doubt:
Name of country-Ki - A male Kirin of the given country i.e. Keiki
Name of country-rin - A female Kirin of a given country i.e. Hourin

Ruiwen is it really you?? I tot u were too lazy to read and weren't gonna join the forum?

About your question, u may wanna try the US official 12K website:
http://www.12kingdoms.us/
or if you can read Japanese: http://www.12kokuki.com/

These sites have a bit of intro about some of the main characters. Sadly not all.
who's taiho?!?! is there another name for him??
Taiho=Kirin. It's sort of like a title for kirins. So they can call Keiki a Taiho eitherway.

Hopefully, that answers your question! :D
