Hey all, just wondering how many gamers there are here, what your favs are, and what consoles you prefer.

Woo! Go DDR! Do you play in arcades at all?

I don't play alot of games but the games I do play, I play a fair bit.

I'm into most of the FF games, Vanguard Bandits ( although I have to repurchase it), it's a good strategy game with lively characters and an interesting story, King of Fighters, Guilty Gear XX & Isuka, (I'm not big into fighting games, but I like them pretty well. My thumbs however do not.) Chrono Trigger, Megaman X5 & 6, Jak and Daxter, Jak II and Jak 3 and recently I've become very fond of the GC game, Baten Kaitos.

I used to play Commander Keen, Peganitsu, Doom, Heretic and Hexen for the PC but that was moons ago.

^-^ Yeah old school games are great. There are so many that I loved but don't have anymore-nor do I remember half of their names. -_-

I disagree with many peoples notion that games today aren't as good in trms of story and replay quality as the old games-I think it's just that there's more crap you have to sift through before you can get to the good games. Take that as you may...

I mostly play roleplaying games. I like everything in the Final Fantasy series up through FFX. (I just got FFX-2 but haven't started it yet, and probably won't play FFXI since I'm not interested in online gaming.) I also really like Legends of Dragoon.

Since RPGs are more story than action focused, which console something comes out on isn't as significant as it is in fighting or sports games for instance. I like Playstation, but that's because it seems to have the best selection of games available rather than because of any inherent quality of the console itself.

For computer gaming, I also sometimes get into strategy games like Civilization and others of that genre. Actually it's been a while since I've played any computer games, though. (No particular reason for that, just other stuff going on I guess.)

These days I've been mostly playing City of Heroes. Pretty fun MMOG in relatively short dosage.

Much of my youth was wasted on X-Com and Master of Orion. Unfortunately, I don't have as much time to play these types of games these days.

Cool, cool.

It seems that some of you don't really care but does anyone have any console preferences? I myself lean more towards the PS 2 but that's mostly because the PS2 has alot of the genres I like to play. I've used it so long that I've grown very fond of it; though I have a mad gamer friend who says it's a piece of crap and that the Game Cube is a far superior machine...

For me, I prefer sony's PS 2. :D
I mostly like RPGs like Final Fantasy and.. LUNAR. [Anyone heard of LUNAR? the third one is finally coming soon after so many years.] Um..and I mostly like Square-enix's games. :)

But as I grow older now, video games just don't quite interest me as much as before. Just curious, how old are u people ? 8)

I waver back and forth between anime, reading, and games depending on mood and such. Currently though, I've been sucked into Guild Wars and it's not letting go. D: Jeez, I've never been the oldest person on a message board before. Someone here please say they're over 21. >_>
