Juuni Kokki Fanart

Post by Shusei 2 »

Hi ho.

So I've made some fanart for JK (well just one so far) but I thought I'd be shameless and request that you all check it out. I'd love to hear anycomments you guys have in regards to the piece. For those interested my next piece will be of Rakushun, then I'll be moving onto a (hopefully) more complex piece with Shouryu and Rokuta. Hope you enjoy.

CHECK OUT THE LINK! Onegai!

Very nice drawing!

Though, if you don't mind, I'll have to critic it a bit.

Her arms look a bit too skinny, and so does her ankle. Shoes are a bit oversized and angled wierd.

I used the following pics for references (Thanks thesmokingman!) for these observations:

Frankly, those are the only few things I really see wrong with it. The torso looks off in some way that I can't seem to explain, but that might be because of the arms.

Again, very nice and I'm looking forward to your next drawings!

Thanks for the responses guys ^-^

I thought about a background but it just wasn't working out. I'll probably work on that at a later date and repost it.

Yeah her arms are a bit on the skinny side but that's mostly a stylistic thing on my part. I'm sorry if they stand out at you but I'm rather fond of them ^-^

The shoes are angled as though she's taking a brief pause to collect herself and then continue on her way up the hill or mountain-whatever it is that I decide for the background to be. Or at least that was the impression I was trying to convey.

Meh, feet are tricky.

The torso's elongated a bit. That might be what's throwing you off.

Y'know what's funny though? I used both those pics as models for drawing the clothing and developing the colour scheme. ^-^
