I too liked Kira's personality in Seed at first better than in Destiny but the more you watch the more it makes sense.
All that was important's abt my favourite chacraters...namely Rey, Durriendal (?) even Meer (airhead tho she is, she's a rather sad character, being used as a substitude for Lacus...)
Cagalli's too wishy-washy, inspite of all the expierence she shouldn've learnt from the last war, instead of being manipulated by those beuracrats of Orb...

Think that guy's name Yuna...which is abt the same as another guy whose hair's blonde. Yes, think he has an ambition as with his father to 'take' over Orb, hence the pressuring on Cagalli, whose pretty young to be taking such responsibilties as she is unfamiliatarity at be manipulated.
Lacus's sweet, but in the few starting episodes, seem to have gone docile instead of her take-charge clarity of SEED. Meer have better clevage in the costume tho
