Is Hirose a Taika?

Post by nightchaser »

From "Demon Child" (http://tu-shu-guan.blogspot.com/) -

I am beginning to wonder if Hirose (Takasato's teacher) is really a Taika. He admits he never fit in to anything and purposely stayed away from his family, even living on his own starting when he was a senior. He also seems to be drawn to Takasato and wants to help him. Could he be sensing (unconsciously) that Takasato is a kirin from his homeland and he must protect him? He even took a beating protecting Takasato from the bullies who pushed him out of the window.

In either TAS or in Demon child
Taiki wonders to himself the same thing.
He feels bad that he left Hirose there, and then said "maybe he's a taika".
But there's no way for him to cross to kyokai since he's not a Sen.
He also seems to be drawn to Takasato and wants to help him
Maybe that's the "connection" he felt with Taiki...
But then again the other teacher (forgot his name) (the head science teacher) said, that Takasato(taiki) and Hirose were different and Hirose was just hoping to be the same. (anything to distract him from the real world in front of him)

It would be cool is some how Hirose works his way back into the story :)

Gosh, poor Hirose! I also noticed that En-ou seemed to "connect" immediately with Rokuta. I always thought he was just fond of kids, but now that I think of it, maybe not. Maybe SK has read this book as well and can elaborate? But it seems to me now that meeting another Taika was kind of a relief to En-ou in some ways...

It would be cool if Hirose could be worked into future books. He certainly did a great favor for Takasato. If he is a Taika, I wonder if he can be granted sen status by tentai or if he has to be in the 12 kingdoms for that to happen? So far in the translation it really looks to me like Hirose is going to end up saving Takasato's life.
