How about favorite books?

Post by rosecream »

I usually enjoy fiction usually a blend of fantasy or romance
dark materials trilogy
Lord of the rings
interview with a vampire
the art of war
those are the top few
strange i like to read books in 3 but they are my favorite another i enjoy is the dark jewels by anne bishop
how about you guys?
although i notice i've been reading more mangas maybe because it is faster to read and books do take longer though i feel some classics like east of eden or of mice and men can get depressing moby dick the ending was quite depressing

My favorite authors are Ruth McCaffery, Harry Turtledove and Terry Brooks. The series are The Dragonriders of Pern; The World at War; and the Shanarna Books. I'm a hard core fantasy reader  I tend to haunt my local used book store. Has anyone read any of these authors or reccomend any authors?

Sadly I read more fanfiction than I do actual novels, however I do quite enjoy: the Slayers novels, eh Harry Potter, The Quiet American, A Lesson Before Dying and (although they were books I had to read for school) Fahrenheit 451, 1984 by George Orwell, and (not a school book) Shogun, by James Clavel (Alas I can't remember the other author's names...)

Um... it's Anne McCaffery & the Dragon Riders of Pern.

(I LOVE THAT SERIES)

I've probably read all the books at least 3-4 times each.

sorry about that, I had a brain spaz. I got mixed up with a fantasy artist named Ruth Thompson, she does some really neat dragon art.
