Juuni Kokki drama CD
Hmmm....not many people here....Anyways has anyone bought the Juuni Kokki Drama CD, yet? Just wondering what it's about. I want to know because I'm thinking of purchasing it.
irc topic
tsk tsk...people should always read the topic in any irc channel; that's probably why so many people get banned or kicked...hehe
artbook
They'll probably release an artbook sooner or later. Well, let's hope that they do. ^^
Re: Juuni Kokki drama CD
Reviving an old topic b/c I recently bought the drama CD, at least the one based on the anime.Rin wrote:Anyways has anyone bought the Juuni Kokki Drama CD, yet? Just wondering what it's about. I want to know because I'm thinking of purchasing it.
Juuni Kokuki Yume Sanshou
VICL-60893
running time ~73 min
tracks:
1. TV size OP
2. Drama 1: Deals with the gathering of 7 kirin (Keiki, Enki, Kyouki, Sairin, Taiki, Hourin, Kourin) on Houzan. Renrin apparently helped set up the meeting but doesn't physicially appear. Time-wise, it's set after the Taiki arc but before Youko's appearance (remember, timewise the 2nd anime arc falls before the 1st arc).
3. Drama 2: Backstory dealing with Jokaku's rise to the throne, her death, and Joei the false empress' rise & fall. Starts before anime arc 1 and ends up at the end of arc 1.
4. Drama 3: Set just _after_ anime arc 3, so if you haven't seen through anime ep 39, there're some significant spoilers. A large part of it is a conversation between Rakushun and Kantai.
5. TV size ED
I don't know how "canon" this drama is, BTW, since events depicted are AFAIK not from the novels. Overall, I'd say it's average for a anime-based CD drama (my main comparisons are the Seikai series dramas and the Sakura Taisen dramas). The first story didn't really add a whole lot of insight into the overall story or the characters, IMO. The second was kind of interesting, but, boy, Jokaku is even nuttier than the snippets shown in the anime. My favorite was the third story, but I don't want to go into spoilers.
BTW, has anyone here heard the drama based on the 2nd novel, dealing w/ En? There's a CD-drama-with-novel bundle advertised in the back of the novels, with a slightly different voice cast (Rokuta's the same, but En'ou is different). It retails for 4900 yen, but the negative reviews on Amazon Jp are making me hesitate to get it.
