What happens if someone refuses the throne?

to me it doesn't seem that tenti has any sovereignty or foreknowledge. he only appoints people and create people's personality. then he punishes people when they act unrighteous. he also grants people's prayers.

i think that the kirin giving the appointed king/queen the option to "accept" or not accept shows that the elect doesn't have to accept the throne. but two possibility rises...

1. the kirin dies (episode 13 or 14 talks about how if a king/queen abandon the throne, the kirin dies)
2. the kirin doesn't die, but moves onto another
