Well, I just noticed something that might interest people here. There's an anime that's been out for a short period of time with the name Ghost Hunt. If that sounds familiar, it's because it's based on the novel with the same name written by Fuyumi Ono, author of The Twelve Kingdoms novels!
I have a entry detailing this on my anime weblog, and I'll be posting my impressions of it there!

I dont know why I somehow feel it's just other normal anime. the characters characteristic can be found on other anime, so there is no special about it. I just dont feel Ono'ish of style in Juuni kokki.
Only have watched the first 3 eps, hope I will like itmore after I watch the rest.

If you see shoku in front of you, what will you do?
I've only seen up to Episode 6 myself, but yeah, the first three episodes weren't too impressive. And the characters themselves are rather generic.
But the next two episodes have to be two of the creepiest episodes I've seen in anime. Wow... I'm talking about goose-bump-forming-can't-look-away creepy.
And from what I hear about the manga, some of the next arcs really crank up the horror factor. And from what I understand, the manga themselves are paled down compared to the novel.
Have I mentioned that I generally don't like porcelain dolls...

Well, I've seen up to episode 13, and it's pretty good. Not a masterpiece like Juuni Kokki, but definitely good. I agree that the first three episodes aren't great at introducing the characters, but it gets better, and weirder. I actually felt the same way about Juuni Kokki at first. I hated Youko, Asano, and Yuka so much after the first four episodes that I was going to just stop watching. Now, I'm really glad I didn't.
