I know I've posted in the other forum, but I figured it's only appropriate to introduce myself.
I decided to call myself Chiwara here, though I go by lots of different names on the net. I'm currently an art student at a local community college.
I first started watching Twelve Kingdoms last summer when I was bored and was trying to find some new anime to watch. I found it at a Hastings store for rent, but had a hard time finding the last volume so I had to download the last few episodes. I just got the first box set a while ago, and really want the last one.
Other anime I watch are Gankutsuou, Ah! My Goddess. and Inuyasha. For manga, I read Oh My Goddess, Inuyasha, Et Cetera, Trinity Blood, and Tail of the Moon.
My hobbies besides anime/manga are making dolls and custom My Little Ponies, which you can find on my deviantART page. I hope to someday make kirin ponies. 8D

Glad to see that the forum is back up. Anyway, I haven't changed my name, I'm yuene, from Singapore. I'm currently doing time as a postgrad in the National University of Singapore. Been a die-hard fan of the series ever since I watched it about 2-3 years back (at least I think it was 2-3 years back). I'm a bit of an itinerant fanfic writer, one of which is not finished, while the other, a short drabble, is on the juuni_kokki lj community, titled 'Public Displays of Affection'. I also like doing fanart, but I'm none too good at those.
Anyway, nice meeting you all, and Chiwara, are you a MLP fan?

Wow!!! You guys are great!! I'm a brand new member and I just hooked up with Twelve Kingdoms last moth! One day I was just bored and run out of thing to watch, so I click on Twelve Kingdoms in TV-links. What a great series! I'm hooked. No, more like obsessed. I have been rewatching the show every day and just ordered the book. I'm very happy to find this site.
>>purpleleaf. Woah I'm glad there's still people who's just recently watched this amazing series
Geez I haven't been posting in this forum for a while. [I was reading up on Demon Child and it brought me back to the 12k mood ^^"]
I remember I first watched Juuni Kokki in late 2004 and it still remains one of my top most favourite animes till this date ^^ Time sure passes fast, it was 2002 when it first released eh? It's been about 5 years for now.
The books are finally being translated!
And hopefully new 12k-related works come out soon ya. Take your time to write Fuyumi sensei! All for a great story/ending!

Hi everyone! I'm so happy to find a place where I can discuss JK. None of my other friends are into it that much (still trying to talk two friends into watching the anime and start reading the novels).
Anyways I'm shamed to say that when they first released the anime in the U.S. I didn't care too much for it. Course, it could be the fact that I was eighteen and even I'll be the first to admit that I lacked a level of maturity to allow me to appreciate the wonder of JK. In any case, a friend talked me into giving the anime another try last year. After I initially got past the first few episodes (which I still think seem a bit slow-paced somehow; not sure why), I was hooked with the world. Took me less then a week to finish it (gotta love online video sites!). I didn't get my hands on Sea of Shadows until a few weeks ago, but as soon as I started reading I couldn't put it down and I've found online translations of the other novels so I'll be reading those when I can find a spare moment outside of work and school.
So anyways after that little tale of my discovery and enthrallment of JK, I'll try to give you a brief blurb about myself (try being the operative word; I like to chat and I have a B.A. in Writing so that means I tend to go on a bit.
) I'm a Scorpio born in the year of the Rat. I love anime (obviously
) since I was 5 years old (which was long ago but we're not going to discuss how long; it's depressing for me). Because I'm half Korean and used to visit family every summer, I've been able to be introduced to a lot of animes before they've been introduced in the U.S. (a blessing and curse; it killed me to leave to come home when I was in the middle of an anime in Korea! And to have to wait years before it was released in U.S. to continue where I left off. >.<)
Since I've mentioned that I have a degree in Writing, it's no surprise that I love to RP as well as write fan fiction. Problem is my muse is a bit fickle when it comes to writing stories. I'll be good starting and for a few chapters and off she disappears to whore who knows where. And when she pops up again, she gives me ideas for new stories.... Speaking of which, she's nagging at me to do some JK fics. So we shall see if I ever get around to it.
But alright I'll shut up now, before I wind up writing a post that takes an entire page by itself. ^.~ So I end this with a pleasure to meet all of you and getting into some interesting discussion of JK.

I think I was here years ago. Can't remember my username for the life of me, but I used to post fanarts :-DDDDDDD.
I notice it's quiet but I"m hoping to find folks who can explain what happens at the end of TKAS as I've read the translations linked in from the livejournal community, but it's sadly stopped at chapter 7 ;_;
I'm really happy that the novels are being translated. It makes me hope for some resolution in what is one of my favorite anime series of all time.

Hey, is this place alive? I watched Juuni Kokki a year ago, and rewatched it recently. If this place is still kicking, then I have found more fans of this epic series!
"Do you really think you can kill me? Even the heavens have failed to punish me until now. What could possibly make you able to best me?"
