Episode 33 rants, raves, and spoilers!!
Actually, I don't really have anything to add, except that Asano is just -way- far gone!
Re: Episode 33 rants, raves, and spoilers!!
Poor Asano... I think this current fit could be dealt with if he realizes that Yuuka's not the empress. Unless, of course, they tell him that Youko is the one trying to kill her.
This was a great episode, but when I watched the preview.... auuuugh! Youko, you tell Keiki off for not being careful, and then you go and do something like that?! Gaaaah! No good can come of this.

The forum is back, had some trouble locatin it recently...
well watched ep 33, and seeing some of the pieces starting to get together, altough Asano still only have 3 bullets left I belive..
Anyhow unlike our times where we got slander magasines it's obvious that the common grunt doens't know anything about their empress, looks, yoma's etc etc...
not even the sword..but I guess the impressive sheat is gone..

Re: aha
Well, most of them have never been to the imperial city. People who have to work for their living farming in a harsh climate don't get much of a chance to keep up with national politics. And even those who aren't around her very often probably wouldn't recognize the red-headed, sword-swinging girl in black as the paraded, dressed-up empress she appears as in public display.
Unfortunately, the people that matter recognize her (and Keiki) all too well.
I sympathize with Youko's comment during this episode that it seems she's being forced to do the will of the heavens. I wonder if she'll be able to find a balance between what she wants to accomplish and what is fated to be.
