45 is the end for now.

I know what the official line is regarding waiting for more books... but are there going to be any ?

I thought there was rumor that the author was on a long hiatus?

the problem is we don't have any "official" words on this matter at all. What we DO have a lot of are un-official, non-documented, yet-to-be-known-for-truth rumors. So until someone can tell me where they've read an official press release or provide some sort of legit documentation (not another rumor posted on another fansite) that says otherwise, we're taking the optimistic position on the matter: there WILL be more novels, there WILL be more anime, and Shinkun will translate them all.

Well, even if there'll be no more novels and therefore not enough content to make up another season, the least they could do is release an OVA based on Asogare no Kishi, Akatsuki no Sora. . .

He said "Soon" March 12! It is now March 31 and it is still not out  I think we have different definitions of "Soon"

Frankly I was surprised when the series didn't end at episode 39. I thought it had pretty much tied together all the plot lines except the Taiki back in Hourai problem, which was kind of a tangent anyway. I really hate it when series' are given sloppy finishes or just suddenly end without warning.

It wasn't a sloppy finish or an end without warning. If you read some of the other topics here you will see that the series is on an "indefinite hiatus" until the author of the novels puts out more material. The anime creators are waiting specifically so they don't have a sloppy ending.

 Just completed the last six episodes (40-45). So sad. I am craving for more of Twelve Kingdoms. I have read somewhere that there are supposedly 68 episodes. What are going to happen to the remaining 13 episodes?!

More stories about the black unicorn please!

It's a pity.

If there is a an Oscar equivalent for Manga, 12k will have my vote. Surely there are alternatively artist out there who can draw just as well.

At the moment we can only wish for new episodes to be released soon.

I dont think they need more story to produce eps 46+...there already enough materials for them to create till eps 70+ with story about youko asking all the 12 kingdoms emperor to help look for taiki. and after that i heard about some minister planning to rebel in Kei after youko's return from finding taiki.

You're right. There is enough material to write until eps 70+.

Wow, thanks guys. It is heartening to know there are more to come! The thought of Yuko and Taiki joining hands to fight rebels is simply divine. Three cheers to 12K!

carmolita wrote:yes ~ but the problem is the author hasn't written anymore novels .. :( and the longer she waits the less likly another anime will be produced, however, perhaps since nhk is reshowing the series in Japan it will keep the Japanese interest peaked .... :D OH bad news everyone disk 10 release date was just pushed back the other day now they're not releasing it until 3-22-05 *that's just awfullll* I'm dying to know what happens next..
Does anyone here speak Japanes ? Maybe we can e-mail the studio about the series? Does the author have her own website as well?
I got no idea also..i tried to search in yahoo but cant find fuyumi ono's website...NHK now reshowing the anime series? doesnt mean they ready to start another sesion? (I wish). btw what disk u talking about?

I really wish there are something we can do to make ono starts making new stories and the anime group starts making the new series of juuni kokki

Well, NHK reshowing the series doesn't in itself indicate they'll continue it, but if it draws enough attention (and Yen) to Fuyumi Ono's Juuni Kokki novels, maybe her fans there can convince her to write the next one. At least it's worth hoping for.

The series is being released in the US on DVD as a ten disk set, the first nine of which are out so far (covering the first 40 episodes). The final disk (with episodes 41-45) we're still waiting for. And now it sounds like we'll have to wait a bit longer than we thought. :(

Episode 41 to 45

Post by Eleen »

Hi guys,

I have already watched 41 to 45 episodes about three weeks ago. Apparently, my friends got a copy of the DVD with these last episodes in Hong Kong and brought it back to Singapore. I had no idea US has not released these episodes.

Anyway, these last five episodes did not discuss Taiki but it ended the last bit about the princess and how Lutai got tricked by his friend. Animation of 12K ended there and I was left alone in front of my TV, craving for more episodes..... :x
