Favorite scenes from the 12K anime.
Hey all. There are just some scenes throughout the series that are just so memerable so amazingly good that I felt compelled to share my favorite scenes.
Starting off with episode one, I love the scene where Keiki appears and swears his loyalty to Youko.
Moving along I also love the scene where Youko and Rakashun are staying in an in together and she invites him to bathe with her-that scene was just plain cute -_^.
Though there are many other scenes that I like alot, the last two that I'll make mention of are the scenes where Shokei, Suzu, and "Yoshei" converse with each other reflecting on their pasts, with Youko confessing that she is the queen of Kei-it's good stuff.
And finally when she mounts the Kirin form of the Kei Taiho and meets with her imperial army. Beautiful-the art, the angles, the mood...Oi I have to go rewatch that scene now.
Anyone else wanna take the floor? Favorite scenes anyone?

All of these are scenes that definitely shine. I'd like to add another that I think really stands out.
When Youko finally gave her first imperial address, we see Youko finally coming into herself as the Empress she should be. Heretofore she had been far to reliant on others, allowing them to influence her and far too concerned with the opinions of others, esp. the ministers. She had definitely matured during her experiences in Wa province, and seeing her complete her transformation by leaving behind the last vestiges of the timid Youko who was introduced at the beginning of the series made for a very much inspiring and moving scene.

Aaackk!!! Noo!! Please don't do that. At least not as full-size images.thesmokingman wrote:Feel free to post screenshots from your favorite scenes.
If you want to show people an idea of the image you're refering to but give them an option of whether to download it or not, you can use the thumbnail version as a link to the full-size version. All those photobucket.com images have thumbnail versions. (Just add "th_" at the beginning of the filename.) To make a thumbnail link in a forum post, use something of the form:
[ url=path-to-full-size-file.jpg ] [ img ]path-to-thumbnail.jpg[ /img ] [ /url ]
Just fill in the appropriate path/filenames and take out the extra spaces I used to make those tags show up as text. For instance:
[ url=http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v438/thesmokingman/JunniKokki1.jpg ] [ img ]http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v438/thesmokingman/th_JunniKokki1.jpg[ /img ] [ /url ]
without the extra spaces shows up as a clickable image:

OK, now that I've wasted that much space on a rant about images, I'll try to get back on topic and add something about my favorite scenes. I really like a lot of the ones that have already been mentioned, but I'll add the scenes between Keiki and Taiki. When Keiki goes to teach Taiki about being a kirin, they end up both gaining so much from the other I'm not sure which of them learned the most.

Oh, yes. I love that part. Keiki seems at such a complete loss for how to deal with a homesick kid. He's so adorable when he's a bit out of sorts.Shusei 2 wrote:Oh yeah that reminds me, I love that part where Keiki begs Taiki not to cry because he doesn't want to get scolded. I couldn't help but laugh. He's so stoic, seeing him say something like that gave him another layer so to speak,
Thanks. That works a lot easier now.thesmokingman wrote:There, fixed it. Didnt realize that it took so long to load ( Im on the network at school so it only takes a second to load for me). Sorry about that.
p.s. I really like your avatar.

(In relation to what ninhsavestheday said) Lol, yes-ah you gotta love the En Taiho and En Ou ^-^ They're a great pair. It's great when the series takes a break and goes a little more in depth with the characters-where we get to see a little more of their personal life. ^-^
I am pleased ^-^ YoukoxRakushun fan or no, I think most people can appreciate the bond between these two characters.Pretty much every scene with Rakushun and Youko was memorable (for various reasons). For those of you who like to make Youko Rakushun pairings I'm sure these scenes were fodder for your imaginations.
