A fan wallpaper/calendar

Post by Lenna »

I found on a Chinese web some people who made wallpapers which also included that month's calendar on them. I liked the idea, and I had some half-done Juuni Kokki wallpapers with too much blank space on them, so I decided to imitate the idea using Akihiro Yamada's artwork (which I really love). The February one it's the first one I've done, but with the .psd file it's easy to change the month, or even to remove the calendar thing and leave it as a common wallpaper if I grow tired of it. Tell me what you think of it. Yeah, I know it's not very good, especially the bottom (the start bar covers it, however) but I'm still new at Photoshop ^_^.

Could you post a plain wallpaper version of this? I think it's beautiful. The background is great.

Here you have the plain wallpaper Niwashi2:

By the way, the figure which was behind the calendar and is now visible is supposed to be a dragon (I'm not sure if it really looks like one now, with so many fading and transparency effects).

And thanks everyone for your encouraging replies!
