Apparently Tokyopop doesn't have the rights to the rest of the novels.

Read the ninth post down in this thread, (or third from the bottom at the time I wrote this).

I knew something had to be up when the next novel didn't show up for pre-order months ago. Who knows when we'll see the next one in ...

It's taking me forever to finish this book. School's been in the way and all that fun stuff.

Still no sign of any fifth book from Tokyopop. :( I sure hope they didn't stop just because they've released the books that covered the anime series.

Kupo, they usually don't get around to announcing it until maybe four or five months before the release, but I'm approximating. You may not expect to see the next book listed until maybe late summer or early fall. :(

I'm ashamed to say I haven't even read the newest book yet. I have so many books ...

Oh, I hate it when that happens. If it's not super duper popular, then stores aren't likely to give it top priority. :( There's one manga title I buy that I've had to buy online because my local bookstores haven't bothered to carry it for a long time.

Even though I paid for regular shipping when I ...

I just got mine today. That was fast! This book is freaking huge, too. I'm sad to see the cover is all glossy like the last book. :(

Twelve Kingdoms: Skies of Dawn (vol. 4)

For anyone who doesn't know yet, the fourth book by Tokyopop is already available for pre-order at some places. Here it is at Amazon.

I really hope we don't have a repeat of Vol. 3's hardcover sell-out, but I have a bad feeling. I got this in my e-mail today from Deep Discount: "Thank you for your ...

I was also really upset to see the hardcover edition MIA. I had waited to buy it because I was saving money for other reasons, but now I can't find it. This is really dumb. I'm seeing comments on other sites from as far back as May of people complaining of it being sold out everywhere.

I ...

AnimePaper.net has a few nice JK wallpapers. I really like this site because there are actually good wallpapers there. Some sites are just horrendous in their selection. D:

I thought Kyouki was pretty tall, but I guess since he's not standing next to all the characters....

I love Kyouki. He's so cute.

I know this thread's a little old, but I sort of came to a thought about this subject a while ago. I hope no one minds.

We seem to be thinking in terms of Earth-size. What if the 12K were on a planet the size of Jupiter, or bigger? If we could stand on a planet that was as big as Jupiter ...

Did anyone else notice there are 2 covers? Why is that? Is one like a collectors edition?

I'm assuming they had an initial design and changed it before releasing it. I've seen that happen with manga covers. I guess they were too lazy to have stores change the image. The one I have has Youko ...

I first started watching Twelve Kingdoms last ...

Okay, first post here...

With the first novel out in English, Anime News Network was able to get an interview with the author. And according to her, she plans to continue the series someday. :) I sure hope so. 8)
