I believe they went ahead and fixed the mono issue on volume 1. I remember someone mentioning that the new releases of volume 1 will be stereo. Not too sure on that bit, but you can always hope for it. ^__^

In addition to the fanfiction, we also encourage ppl to do fanarts as well. Shinkun says he'll add the fanarts section to the 12ktp website later so feel free to "submit" whatever you want. For now, I think we'll leave the fan-fiction to the fanfiction.net.

Aside from Youko's arc, there are also novels that talked about two other kingdoms along with various pieces on other other kingdoms. The arcs that makes up the other two kingdoms are novels on Shouryuu's and Taiki's story ...

This is why I fear that they'll never adapt the novels to English, too much work for what might not be enough profit to cover for adaptation costs (publishers are still businesses afterall).

I believe it was mentioned in one of the episodes. The "army" is similiar to what a National Guard would be. Each province has its own provincial army in addition to the district policing force. Their purpose is to maintain the peace within a province, provide disaster relief where necessary ...

several ppl have read the books. one of whom is shinkun and several others who has helped with the novel translation. not sure who they are on the forum, but i'm definitely positive there are those amongst us who have read the novel.

i'm not sure, i haven't seen the raw yet. i've only got my hands on the wav. but from what i can tell, it's a discussion of the world of juuni kokki. similar to all the other kinds of "special" series. shinkun has more detail. *looks at shinkun for back up*

currently we're working on the novel that makes up youko's first arc. everything that's been translated is already online. depending on time issues and what not (we still got school and shinkun has a life outside of 12ktp *damn him!!!*), we'll see how much else we can do. we can only hope and pray ...

I believe you are correct regarding this. I do remember that drunken bastard saying something useful along those lines. I THINK it was a way to prove whether she was truly the Empress of Kei or not (she mentioned something about that) since only the emperor/empress can use the sword.
