Note that at the end, the graves are now surrounded by a carpet of flowers. If you look at the earlier episodes, the ground is very barren and dusty. The obvious conclusion is that this is Tentei strongly approving of Youko's rule (now).
For the audiance with the minsters/officials, Youko's certainly not afraid to reward generously - making Koukan top minister, making Kantai top general (kinda appropriate since he's a one-man army). Those two lackys of Seikyou sure are dumb - the person they were sucking up to has been arrested, his opponents given massive promotion and they protest it! They should be distancing themselves as much as possible... or resigning to save themselves from punishment. Youko sure can be commanding when she wants to be.
Hmm, I wonder how old Enho actually is. He certainly approved of Youko's response to needing a scabbard for the sword - ie looks like Youko's better (at some things at least) than the last Meikun Kei had.
I wonder what's going to happen to Kei-Kei. Looks like he'll be able to grow up in the palace. Maybe Youko will adopt him...?
Nice that the plots earlier in the story arc (like Kaki and Uikyou) are cleared up, for the most part. It's really annoying how many series leave major plot points unanswered (often for no good reason it seems).
Youko invites Shoukei and Suzu to come help her in the palace. I wonder if she'll promte them directely to ministerial level or something, or they'll have to work their way up properly... Having the right heart, but not having enough knowledge would be a problem.
Asano doesn't survive the series. Given ep 37-38, this shouldn't be too surprising. I'm not that surprised that happened either - he seemed too far gone to be saveable.
The first 1-2 scenes are very cool. Enough said
