What did you like most about The Twelve Kingdoms series?

Post by FireMotion »

The characters? Character development? The storyline? Do you like the genre overall? The soundtrack? The seiyuu's/voice actors?

And why would you recommend it to others?

I liked it most for the storyline. I might not have read the novels, but I find the anime very attractive and very different from any other anime titles. This one has more depth in it and there's put a lot of thought in it. That's my short reason :). Now, what do you think?

Funny, I had a topic dedicated to why I loved this series... :)

To summarize, I liked it for all of the above reasons, but what I loved most about The Twelve Kingdoms is that it affirms and reaffirms needed life lessons for me. This lets me watch it over and over again without it ever getting old.

As for why I would recommend it to others? Well, because this series is almost like a bible to me, that is actually much harder for me to do objectively. Hence, I wrote a review of it on AnimeNFO to attempt to do that (which I need to fix some grammar errors in it, and maybe adjust a few parts for flow...). In the end, I would strongly recommend this series to people that like realistic feeling characters and a rather complex storyline.

Exactly! I love all elements of the anime and what little bit I've read of the novels. Story and character development really go had in hand. And I really love the interconnectedness of it all, so many ripple effects...
